BEST TIME TO VISIT
Climate is the main factor when planning a Dubai trip.
November-March — the best window: 20-28C, comfortable for walking and the beach.
April-May and October — shoulder months, already warm (30-35C) but manageable.
June-September — avoid unless you’re ready for 40C+ heat and high humidity. Hotels are significantly cheaper during this period if you don’t mind spending most of your time indoors.
WHAT TO SEE IN 4-5 DAYS
Classic highlights:
- Burj Khalifa — observation deck on floors 124-125; book tickets online in advance, it’s cheaper than buying on-site
- Dubai Mall and the fountains at the tower’s base — a free show every 30 minutes in the evening
- Old Dubai — the Deira and Bastakiya districts, gold and spice souks, a striking contrast to the modern city
- Desert safari — jeep tour, camel rides, dinner at a desert camp — usually 4-6 hours, book ahead
For a more active trip:
- Jumeirah beaches or the man-made Palm Jumeirah island
- Water parks (Wild Wadi, Atlantis Aquaventure)
- Dubai Marina — a waterfront promenade with restaurants and evening boat rides

PRACTICAL TIPS
Visa: many nationalities can get a visa on arrival or an e-visa quickly — always check current requirements before booking.

Dress code: dress modestly in public places (covered shoulders/knees); no restrictions on beaches or in hotels.
